Rwaida Gharib

Rwaida Gharib is a yoga teacher and meditation coach. She has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years and became certified to teach yoga (500 RYT) and lead meditation in the Himalayas of India and Nepal. She began her teaching practice on the island nation of Sri Lanka and has since attended and led dozens of wellness retreats around the world, including vipassana, meditation, yoga, surf, nutrition, life design, writing, and women's retreats. 

As a teacher, she works to guide her students through breath and movement as they find balance in their inner and outer lives. Of Egyptian descent, she incorporates ancient and mystic practices from Africa and Asia to find a modern approach to navigating the times we live in. By day, Rwaida works on humanitarian and social impact efforts that help strengthen global dialogue around climate change, refugee and disaster politics, and global girls education. 


A native Southern Californian, she currently lives in Venice Beach balancing life and work, while helping all kinds of communities to prosper in healthy ways. She currently teaches power yoga, yin yoga, and children's yoga by private appointment and at Core Power Yoga in Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, and Westwood, California.
